Why do people hate George W. Bush so much?

I really don't hate Bush, but the fact is, he lied to the American people over and over. The rest of the world perceived him as a reckless " cowboy " and we lost a lot of respect abroad. A president is supposed to try and leave the country in better shape than when he came to office, and the fact is Clinton left us with a 2 trillion dollar surplus which Bush turned into a 3 trillion dollar deficit. He dragged us into a war for all the wrong reasons, costing many American lives. He outright stole his second election.We may never recover from his legacy.
