Which religion do you think is the most ually repressed, and which is the most ually liberated?

I would guess Islam, as it requires ordinary people to have a degree of self-control that normal people don't have, and thus, everyone who fails, which is everyone, believes that they are shamefully weak. In that respect, there is much hypocrisy in the practice of Islam. This, combined with most Islamic cultures' preference for the appearance of religious adherence rather than the adherence itself, is a recipe for repression.
