What happened to the prisoners who survived the death marches from Auschwitz?

Where were the taken? or left at? Were they just abandoned in other camps? or what? And once liberated where were they sent? i know some were sent to an allied camp in Salzberg? ANY MORE INFO WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!
