Omg!! im freaking out! emergency! please help!?

okay so i got out of my friends pool and sat down and all of a sudden i feel a something on my heel so i lift my heel up and their was this little white worm looking thing. nd on my heel i see like a cut or something with whit sticking out of it like it was puss or something so i pulled it off and it wasnt puss but i didnt know what it was but it was only half. and i didnt realli look at the whole bug i took off my foot because i kinda thought it was a maggot and didnt want it to go into my finger. but im not sure i saw a show that showed like extreme hospital cases on tlc and this little baby had maggot coming out from between her finger please i need some back round information and thoughts. i dont what to do. i freaking out. i didnt tell my mom because i have no clue what to even say or if shell belive i didnt mention anything when it happened either im just worried and have no clue what to do.
