Im scared scared to shave.......... down there?

okay this is embaring but when i shave, i only shave the top area of my vagina because i dont want to shave my more sensitive parts like the labia and stuff because im scared i might cut something with the razor. is it better and safer to just go get a brazilian or is it possible to do it yourself? also, do you use like a shaving cream or anythinig when you are shaving down there?
