Girl in hole in my basement, how to approach her?

Hi, there is a hole in my basement about 20 feet deep. A girl is stuck in there (long story don't ask) but anyway I've been lowering lotion to her in a basket on an electrical cord. She hasn't been using the lotion at all that I've seen so I've been using the hose on her (spraying not hitting her with it). Being an eco minded individual I'd like to cut my water usage so I'd really like to talk to her and let her know that I'd like her to use the lotion. Any help with this?
